For years, communities in Hameer Al-Jabal, Taiz Governorate, have suffered from severe water scarcity due to the mountainous terrain, limited natural water sources, and the absence of sustainable water infrastructure. Families were forced to rely on distant and unsafe water sources, placing a heavy daily burden on women and children.
In response to this long-standing humanitarian need, Al-Noor Charity Association implemented an artesian well project in the area, with generous support from the Kuwaiti Water Relief Association, aiming to provide a sustainable and reliable source of clean water for the local community.
This project marked a turning point for the residents. Access to nearby, safe water reduced daily hardship, improved public health conditions, and restored a sense of dignity and stability to families who had struggled for years to secure their most basic necessity.
The well became more than a water source—it became a symbol of hope, resilience, and lasting impact, proving that sustainable water projects are not just services, but foundations for life and community well-being.
When water rises from the depths of the earth… hope rises with it.
